The Nordic ARM Regional
Meeting took place on the 29-30 January. This time the meeting was
held in the capital of Norway, Oslo. The event gathered 32
participants and turned out to be very successful. It raised a lot of
interest among local companies and also attracted representatives
from other parts of Europe. For the convenience of meeting
participants this conference was organized in Radisson SAS Airport
Hotel, situated close to the Oslo's Gardermoen International Airport.
From this hotel it is easy to get to the marvelous Oslo city center.
First day of the meeting
was dedicated for theoretical seminars and discussions. Main theme of
this meeting was focused on "Innovation with new materials for
rotomoulding", which is currently of crucial importance to the
rotomoulding industry. During this day participants could also hear
seminars about “Why using rotational moulding – seen from
the end user perspective”, “UN testing of containers”
and “PE foaming”. Second day of the event started with
presentation concerning “Common mistakes in safety for
rotational moulding” which was later on followed by commercial
presentations from both suppliers and moulders.
We would like to thank
all our presenters for making this event interesting and successful.
Materials which were presented during the meeting will be available
on the website together with the videos. Participants can download
the materials using special login and password which were given to
them during this meeting. Detailed program of the meeting is also
available on the website.

During the meeting in
Oslo we have received a positive feedback from moulders and suppliers
who have shown their interest towards the next regional meeting for
the Nordic countries. In May 2009 we will be orgnizing a design
seminar for the region. After holding successful events in Sweden
(April, 2008) and Norway (January, 2009), in the next year we are
planning to organize a meeting in Finland, following the idea of
bringing the meetings close to the local companies.
